WHAT CAN I PLACE IN MY VEHICLE FOR THE TRANSPORT?

DOT regulations do not allow the transport of household items by the auto carriers. With that being said, normally if any personal items are in the trunk of the vehicle, the drivers will accept but at the owner’s risk, the items are not covered by the carrier’s insurance. Any additional items added in the trunk add additional weight to the total transport that could cause the driver to be overweight.

SHOULD I SHIP MY VEHICLE OPEN OR ENCLOSED CARRIER?

Most people ship their vehicles on Open Carriers. Open carriers are exposed to the elements, just the same as if you were driving and is the least expensive method of transportation. Enclosed Carrier is fully enclosed and is not exposed to the elements or road conditions. Enclosed Carrier is often used with antiques, luxury and expensive cars and is more expensive than open transport.

SHOULD MY GAS TANK BE EMPTY WHEN I TRANSPORT?

It is highly recommended to transport with under a 1⁄4 tank of gas whenever possible.

WHERE DO I DROP OFF MY VEHICLE?

We provide door to door service at your pick-up and drop-off locations as long as it is accessible with the truck. On occasion, if the driver is not able to make it into your neighborhood because of the size of his vehicle, he might ask to meet in a large parking lot area so he can safely load or unload your vehicle.

DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN VEHICLE IS PICKUP OR DELIVERED?

As a convenience to you, you may have a friend or relative release or accept delivery of the vehicle, they will be asked to inspect the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading on your behalf.
